Frequently Asked Questions

What if it rains?

We are fortunate to continue our partnership with Hope UCC as a flexible indoor space in the event it rains pending availability. You will receive an email the evening before with inclement weather plans as well as an email in the morning. Hope UCC is located directly across from our outdoor classes in Francis Park.

What if I can’t make it to all four classes?

Life is busy! We totally understand. You do have the option to come to an alternate class day and time if you can’t make it to a class.

Can I bring a friend?

We do offer drop in classes at the cost of $25 per family. New families can take their first class for $10!

If I can’t make it to a class, can I have someone take my place?

Yes, if you would like another to come in your place, they may attend as a drop in and use your spot for class. Just give us a heads up via email, text or social media so we know they are coming.

Can grandparents or other family members come?

YES! We love when grandparents and family come! We do ask if you plan on bringing other children that are not registered for class, that you pay the drop in fee for them to attend.

Do I have to participate?

Our class is for the whole family, and while we won’t force you to do anything, we promise you will have fun if you channel your inner child and dance and play.

What kind of instruments will we see in class?

Class instruments include, shakers, drums of all sizes, sticks, and much more. We bring in world instruments to show the class as well as the autoharp, which Laren plays each class.

What if my kid just wanders around and doesn’t participate?

That is totally okay! This is a whole sensory experience for children and it’s a lot to take in. Let them lead and explore on their own terms. Sometimes they will sit on your lap and take it all in, and other times they will be dancing and singing.

What should we bring to class?

For our outdoor classes we suggest bringing the following items: a blanket to sit on, snacks, water bottles and sunscreen during the summer months. The class area is partially shaded, but can get some direct sun at times. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes as well.

For our indoor classes you are welcome to bring a blanket, snacks, water. We will have yoga mats available too so it’s a little more comfortable. There are chairs available as well (most of the grandparents that come appreciate this)

Is your business licensed?

Laren Loveless Music LLC is a licensed and insured business in the state of Missouri.

Do you clean the instruments?

Yes, we use a rinse free toy disinfectant called “Clean Smart” in between classes. It dries fast and kills 99% of germs. We know little ones put everything in their mouths, so we do our best to keep germs from spreading.
